Location and access
Chata pod Basovnou is situated in the Low Tatras, under the ridge of mountain Chabenec, in Magurka village (1060m a.s.l.). Ideal starting point for mountain trips to Durkova chalet, Chabenec, Chopok, Latiborska Hola and Salatin mountains. The house is located on the edge of the forest.

Recreation and services in surroundings
In winter you can ski on children ski lift directly in the village, cross-country skiing around the village. Ski resorts Donovaly, Liptovské Revúce and Park Ruzomberok. The cottage is a good starting point for trips to Besenova and Tatralandia, Liptovska Mara, Vlkolinec (UNESCO), wooden church in the village Svaty Kriz or museum in Pribylina. Possibility of recreation: children's ski resort Železnô, distance 3 km and Liptovská Osada 5 km. Indoor swimming pool - wellness.
